This is a stream called "kalte Bode" in a valley called Elendstal in Harz National Park, Germany during mid-winter. We hiked the Teufelsstieg between Elend and Schierke during that nice but cold and enjoyable winter day and walked throug fresh snow on Goethe's footsteps (he also wrote about this hike).
