easyjet, plane, air, clouds, wing, 2013 On sunday night we returned from a short trip to the eternal city, Rome in Italy. It was a nice trip and we were lucky with the weather from a touristic and a photographic point of view. No bluebird skies but also no rain. We walked about 45km through the city, did some shopping, had nice food and saw lots of the sights of Rome like the famous Colloseum, Forum Romanum, Piazza Venezia, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di Spagna, Pantheon, Piazza Navuno, Villa Medici, Piazza Popolo, Place de Republica and of course the Vatican with the breathtaking huge Basillica di San Pietro and climed the Capulo ... park, leipzig, autumn, forest, walk, trail, germany, 2012 I finished this years autumn season with some good photos and feelings and had a good time outdoors. My girlfriend and I made about six photo trips to Harz, Saxon Switzerland and other parks and until now I have processed about twenty images. On three of those tours we were on the same locations like several years before but I had to learn that I cant find any new and good working compositions there. So next year I will spend more time scouting new locations. See the autumn season 2012 gallery here. I am also looking forward to the winter season and hope to create a few ... Continue reading →

Continue reading →

iceland, falls, skogafoss, coast, canon, assignment, remote, bnw This article was first published on capturingthelandscape.com. Editor’s Note:  If you ask any passionate landscape photographer what their dream location is, I’m fairly certain the majority of them would probably say Iceland.  For those who might be wondering why, then let this incredible photograph be your answer – I for one, cannot take my eyes off it! Stephen Dickey In September 2008 I was on a one week trip through Iceland with four guys from an independent ‘brand communications’ company from the UK, plus three Icelandic guides. The ... Recently I returned from a three weeks photo trip spanning from the Baltic Sea, Germany in the north south to the Dolomites in Italy. I drove about 3500km - partway on extreme alpine roads in the Alps. Hiked up to about 2700m above sea level; saw awesome landscapes and had a nice time with some interesting weather and lighting conditions. I'm really looking forward to select and process some of the over 1200 photos I've shot. Continue reading →

iceland, sunset, highlands, landmannalaugar, amazing, light, mountains, canon, assignment, remote, rare, striking, beauty Back from Iceland! After flying to Isafjordhur via Reykjavik on Sunday 31/08/2008 the adventure started in the northern fjords of Iceland with a little boat scene. On the second day we drove into the wild and through the highlands of Iceland. We saw Godafoss, Galcier Bay, awesome beaches near Vik, Skogafoss, Geysir, Blue Lagoon and lots of other very remote and impressive locations. Finally arrived back at Reykjavik on Friday night, I flew back to Germany on Saturday in the early morning. Resumed it was a very fascinating and impressing but even so a very exhausting trip through Iceland. ... Continue reading →
